{"id":4666,"date":"2022-08-24T09:21:16","date_gmt":"2022-08-24T08:21:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.btsasociados.com\/?p=4666"},"modified":"2022-08-24T09:21:17","modified_gmt":"2022-08-24T08:21:17","slug":"congress-to-vote-on-energy-saving-plan-and-two-other-decrees-this-thursday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.btsasociados.com\/en\/congress-to-vote-on-energy-saving-plan-and-two-other-decrees-this-thursday\/","title":{"rendered":"Congress to vote on energy saving plan and two other decrees this Thursday"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This week the <strong>Plenary of Congress<\/strong> will hold an extraordinary session to validate the plan with the savings measures and two other decree laws, as well as three draft laws:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Law amended by the Senate last July.<\/li><li>Science Act.<\/li><li>The Sexual Freedom Act.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The president of Congress, Meritxell Batet, will convene the plenary session for nine o&#8217;clock in the morning on <strong>Thursday 25 August.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In accordance with the Government&#8217;s request, the agenda will include the debate and vote on the<strong> last three <\/strong>decree laws <strong>approved<\/strong> by the Government, which, although they are already in force, must be <strong>validated<\/strong> by <strong>Congress <\/strong>within <strong>30 days<\/strong> of their <strong>publication.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These include the decree law on <strong>economic sustainability<\/strong> measures in the field of transport, which includes the<strong> energy saving plan<\/strong>. This Extraordinary Plenary Session will also be an opportunity for you to express your opinion on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The decree updating the basic legislation on forest fires.<\/li><li>The decree containing the new contribution system for the self-employed.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3>Validation of decrees<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This session will not only be for the validation of decrees, but will also be used to definitively approve the:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Ley Org\u00e1nica de garant\u00eda integral de la libertad sexual, known as the &#8220;only yes is yes&#8221; law.<\/li><li>The Bankruptcy Law.<\/li><li>The Law on Science.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3>The Bankruptcy Law, out of time<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This <strong>draft legislation<\/strong> envisages reforms in the insolvency field to provide agile and effective instruments to improve insolvency procedures and facilitate the maintenance of viable companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also <strong>aims<\/strong> to transpose the European Restructuring and Insolvency Directive, a text that should have been transposed into Spanish law by <strong>July 2021<\/strong>.
