The agreement will be taken to the Council of Ministers on Tuesday <strong>27 July<\/strong>, and will be approved by means of a decree law to be subsequently processed in the Congress of Deputies as a bill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most important aspects, apart from the new contribution bases and <strong>rates<\/strong>, will be the way in which contributions will be regularised each financial year.&nbsp; This regularisation will not come into effect until <strong>2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Ministry of Social Security, the regulation assigns a vital role to the Treasury in this regularisation and the databases of the Social Security and the Tax Agency will work hand in hand.&nbsp; Bearing in mind that the new system is based on real income.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What changes will appear in 2023 in contributions for the self-employed?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tax office has established a deduction for general expenses of <strong>7 %<\/strong> for <strong>individual self-employed<\/strong> persons and <strong>3 %<\/strong> for <strong>corporate self-employed<\/strong> persons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, a so-called reduced <strong>contribution of 80\u20ac<\/strong> is envisaged for all those workers who start a self-employed activity and which <strong>will last for 12 months<\/strong>, extendable for another 12 months if the self-employed person&#8217;s income is lower than the <strong>SMI<\/strong> (Minimum Interprofessional Wage).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2023, the <strong>maximum amount of contributions<\/strong> for workers over <strong>47 years<\/strong> of age will disappear.
